At the 2023 Understanding China Conference in Guangzhou, James Stone, Chairman & CEO of Plymouth Rock Assurance and former Chairman of US  Commodity Futures Trading Commission, has praised China for bringing up the impoverished in the interview with SFC reporter.

“My interest is in economic justice, (which is) how to distribute the benefits of growth fairly among the rich, the middle and the poor. China has done a remarkable job in bringing the bottom up. That's a very special accomplishment of this administration. But dealing with how to make the middle-class secure in terms of health, housing and education, those are problems in both countries,” he said. And he suggested that we should reward and encourage the entrepreneurship in the future.
