In a interview with SFC, Mao Yanhua, dean of the Institute of Regional Openness and Collaboration at Sun Yat-sen University said, over the past two years, Guangdong and Macao have been actively exploring the collaboration model, innovating institutional mechanisms. Zhuhai-Macao Cooperation has achieved significant outcomes. In terms of industrial cooperation, various modes of industrial pision have been formed. For instance, the traditional Chinese medicine industry has formed a model of production in Hengqin and supervision in Macao.

In sectors like cross-border e-commerce, offshore finance and cross-border finance has also established new ways of cooperation.

Guangdong and Macao continue to deepen cooperation. Besides the industrial level, cooperation also extends to areas such as science and technology, youth innovation and entrepreneurship.
